Dark chamber for testing of scintillating detector

Dark chamber for measurement and testing of scintillation detectors was engineered and constructed. It is possible to measure energetic resolution of scintillation blocks of different shapes. Depending on the sizes of these blocks up to 4 of them, each up to 20kg in weight, or a rod up to 2 meters in length can be placed in the chamber. As a source of particles for the scintillator an ordinary lab ion source can be used. This source can be placed on a table in the chamber, which can move in dimension X by up to 1770mm and in dimension Y by up to 500mm. Computer for control of XY positioning system with software is included. The chamber is equipped with lightproof connectors for connection of additional external lab instruments.
