ANIMMA 2025

9. 6. 2025 - 13. 6. 2025

The 9th international conference on Advancements in Nuclear Instrumentation Measurement Methods and their Applications (ANIMMA) 2025, organized locally by the Institute of Particle Physics (IFIC), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Valencia, will be held at the Hotel Meliá Valencia in Valencia (Spain), from June  9th to 13th, 2025.

Partners: French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA, France), Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics, Czech Tecnical University in Prague (IEAP CTU in Prague, CR); National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN, France), Aix-Marseille University (AMU, France), Instrumentation Stream of the Department of Physics within the Faculty of Sciences of the AMU (France), Belgian Nuclear Research Centre (SCK CEN, Belgium), Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS, Slovenia), University of Pisa (UniPi, Pisa, Italy) and IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS).

ANIMMA 2025 is the ninth of a series of conferences devoted to endorsing and promoting scientific and technical activities based on nuclear instrumentation and measurements. The main objective of the conference is to unite the various scientific communities not only involved in nuclear instrumentation and measurements, but also in their wide fields of applications such as fundamental physics, nuclear medicine, medical and environmental sciences. The conference is all about getting scientists, engineers, students and the industry to meet, exchange cultures and identify new scientific and technical prospects to help overcome both current and future unresolved issues. The ANIMMA conference provides scientists and engineers with a veritable opportunity to compare their latest research and development in different areas: physics, fission and fusion energy, nuclear fuel cycle, safeguards and homeland security, future nuclear energies (GEN III+, GENIV, SMRs, AMRs, ITER...), space sciences and technology, medical and environmental sciences as well as training and education. Furthermore, a transversal topic dealing with the current trends in development of radiation detectors is also proposed.

The ANIMMA 2025 topics slightly updated include instrumentation and measurement for:
  • Fundamental Physics
  • Space Sciences and Technology
  • Fusion Diagnostics and Technology
  • Research Reactors and Particle Accelerators
  • Nuclear Power Reactors and Nuclear Fuel Cycle
  • Nuclear Safeguards, Homeland Security and CBRN
  • Decommissioning, Dismantling and Remote Handling
  • Severe Accident Monitoring
  • Environmental and Medical Sciences
  • Current Trends in Development of Radiation Detectors
  • Education, Training and Outreach
